Commitee to ban Robbie Gordon

I'm not the world's foremost motorsports fan. I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough to claim fanaticism. But I do know this;

Robby Gordon is a delusional @#$@5

Please dear lord, can we get rid of this a-hole? Once a year he does something uncouth. Last year it was taking his helmet off and throwing it at another driver's car. This year its playing god. (Marcos Ambrose gets Screwed)

Its the height of hypocrisy. Robby Gordon would spin out his own mother under caution if he had a chance to win. He threw the equivalent of a hissy-fit and robbed a more qualified driver of his first win. Gordon should have been physically removed from the race. Once he refused to move to 13th place, he should have been pulled off the course. There was no doubt on earth what his intentions were. As soon as it went green he put Ambrose into a spin and took the fictional lead. NASCAR help to put this charade into action by not making Gordon respect the black flag.

Welcome to NASCAR, Canada home of the inept officials and completely out of control prima donnas.

Lets hope NASCAR over compensates and bans Gordon for life. Otherwise another talented driver who happens to be in Gordon's way will learn the extent of his hissy fit and of NASCAR's lack of power.

REALGM: A Brave New World

The Wally World era of the Minnesota Timberwolves is officially over. Wally Szczerbiak has made his way with Olowokandi and Dwayne Jones to Boston. In return the Timberwolves have received the very first players that seem to be designed specifically for the type of play that head coach Casey desires. Defense first, push the ball up the court and put pressure on the opposing team on both ends of the court. Rickey Davis, Marcus Banks, Mark Blount and Justin Reed are the soon to be residents of Minnesota. Davis, Banks and Reed have shown the ability to defend; Blount has shown very little outside of a respectable ten foot jump shoot.

NBA.com: Houston at Minnesota

3 for 20. 15%. When as a team you take 20 three point shots and only make three, you should consider yourself lucky to have only lost by 5 points. Minnesota has to learn that just because you're open behind the three point line, doesn't mean you should take the shot. The Timberwolves 52% from inside the three point line. If they had just decided to take some of those 20 shots closer to the basket they could have flipped the score on the Rockets. Simply by cutting the number of three point shots in half, and assuming the Timberwolves had consistent shot selection inside the three point arch, they would have earned an additional 10 points.

Timberwolves players, please for the sake of your owner's heart and your fans pride, make the decision to find a better shot, because its obvious that as of now, a three point attempt is nearly as good as a turnover.

RealGM: Wiretap Archives: Spree Likes Hawks, Hawks Have No Interest

Is there a harder working agent than Bob Gist? He has started rumors about his client, Latrell Spreewell, being offered contracts by at least half of the NBA. Of course, they've all been bogus, but at least he's keeping Spreewell's name in the rumor mill. Drew Rosenhaus, Terrell Owens' agent should get to know Gist, I'm sure that they'll have plenty of war stories to share about trying to sell a player that no one wants to buy.

St. Paul Pioneer Press | 11/08/2005 | Wolves' defense find its chops, stifles Clippers

It has become clear. If Wally Szczerbiak can be a consistent scoring threat the Timberwolves have a very good chance of making the playoffs. If he struggles, they are going to have a lot of close games. Jaric, Griffin, Olowokandi et al are decent supplemental scorers. The Timberwolves need Wally to be a consistent number two. They have to count on getting 35-40 points out of Garnett and Szczerbiak. If they don't, it's going to be a long season.

RealGM: Wiretap Archives: Clubs Wait For KG To Become Available

It has now begun in earnest. The mainstream media's desire to have the most accessible and likeable NBA star in one of the major markets. It must drive the marketing people nuts that the some of the biggest stars and big noisemakers are in these "non-big time" markets. Tim Duncan is in San Antonio, Ron Artest is in Indianapolis, Dirk Nowitski is in Dallas and the shine is off of Kobe in Los Angeles. Rumors already have Lebron as good as signed with the Knicks when he becomes a free agent and as shown below the LA Times continues its quest of wishful thinking by ignoring other published reports, quotes and facts, so they can raise the issue of Kevin Garnett being traded. If Garnett was as easily influenced by the media as Kobe it might work...However, I'd be shocked if Garnett was ever traded from Minnesota.
